Preface
I had too many ups and downs this week, but how did you all spend it?
As usual, I will introduce various trees this week!
News
Sufficient Oxygen on the Surface of the Moon to Survive 100,000 years for the Entire Earth’s population
Recently, the space business is booming with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and others, but it seems that surprising discoveries have been made about the moon in the last few years.
According to an article on November 10 by the Conversation, a website that deals with academic research articles in Australia, the regolith that deposits on the surface of the Moon probably contains oxygen, which is enough for the entire population of the earth to live 0.1 million years.
My knowledge of the Moon stopped decades ago, and I never dreamed that it could produce oxygen on the Moon.
Even more surprisingly, it seems that Mars has already succeeded in an experiment to decompose carbon dioxide contained in the atmosphere of Mars to generate oxygen.
It seems that the oxygen produced from regolith will be used not only for breathing but also as rocket fuel in the future.
I was surprised that the space business had progressed considerably recently!
Robotic Needleless Future Vaccination
Cobionix, a self-sustaining robot development company founded by the University of Waterloo in Canada, has developed a self-supporting robot “Cobi” that injects vaccines without using a needle.
It seems that it will take a few years to put it to practical use, but Cobi seems to have a system that uses a high-pressure liquid jet to inject the vaccine into the tissue of the arm through a hole smaller than the hair.
The vaccination process is fully automated, with Cobi first identifying the patient and detecting their identity.
The sensor then scans the patient to create a 3D map of the body, and the software analyzes the best location for the injection.
After the analysis is completed, the patient will be vaccinated by being instructed about his / her standing position, posture, and whether to turn over his / her clothes.
In the future, as annual vaccination becomes more realistic, the vaccination method may change drastically.
Personally, there are differences in the skill of the person who hits the needle injection, and I still have resistance as an adult, so I hope that it will be put to practical use as soon as possible.
Pick-up
Digital Currency
I often hear the word digital currency in the news these days, but do you know the definition of digital currency?
In my mind, I was always fluffy reading news related to digital currencies, mixed up with e-commerce and virtual currencies.
This time, I dig deeper into this digital currency in the following article, so please check it out.
Gadget/Lifehacks
装丁カフェ (Binding Café)
This time, I will introduce the Binding Café.
The binding café is a service where the website automatically creates the cover of books etc. when you enter the atmosphere and title on the website.
The above image is an image created using the binding cafe.
It’s very easy to create a cover, so if you are interested, please create your own cover!
Personal Finance
This week, the MC was down more than I expected so I sold it and bought CLFD instead.
Also, CUBI once took a stop order, so I made a profit and re-entered.
The profitable results of individual stocks this week are as follows.
- CUBI: 10.16%
- MC: (5.97)%
Here are my holdings:
It seems that there are too few stocks to hold compared to common investment methods, but Mark Minervini and William O’Neil’s method, which is the basis of the method I practice, does not recommend too much diversification.
According to their theory, it is safer to pursue profits by concentrating investment only on stocks with solid fundamentals and technical, rather than diversifying investment and neglecting the correspondence of each stock.
However, in my case, I can’t invest in individual stocks with my 401(k) account, so I’m fully investing in the S&P 500 Index with my 401(k), following the advice of John Bogle, a pioneer in index investment.
This week, I have posted a lot of articles about the method “SEPA” proposed by Mark Minervini, so please read them if you are interested.
Shop/Restaurant
Mari Vanna
I would like to Introduce the Russian restaurant “Mari Vanna” this week.
This time I ordered Cabbage Pirozhki, Borscht, and Beef Stroganoff, which are famous Russian dishes even in Japan.
I could choose from multiple types of Pirozhki, but I ordered the cabbage Pirozhki this time.
Borscht was especially delicious, and the ingredients inside were perfect. To be honest, I wanted to drink as many cups as I wanted.
The main menu I ordered was beef stroganoff recommended by the bartender, which goes well with the rice on the side and is a dish that you won’t get tired of.
Also, recently I’m addicted to whiskey mizuwari, so I ordered Scotch’s Chivas Regal 15 year old.
Although I am a beginner in whiskey, Chivas Regal is very easy to drink and is one of the recommended liquors alongside Suntory Toki and Glenlivet.
Before the spread of COVID-19, the buffet was served on Sunday, but it seems that it has been canceled for the time being, and I would like to try it when COVID-19 calms down and resumes someday.

Postscript
How was the topics of this week’s tree?
Closing this article, I will share the healing YouTube channel that I am addicted to.
Many Japanese dog lovers may know the Bulldog Burumaru Channel, but the Bulldog Burumaru-kun and Maruko-chan are always healing my heart!
Okayu Diary is a channel I found recently, and I especially like Bichon Frise among various kinds of dogs, but Okayu is energetic and cute, and I’ve been watching it from the first video now.
